Prelude to foundtion

I am currently reading the book Prelude to Foundation, by Isaac Asimov. I am really enjoying this book. Its aboout a man and his quest to develope his science of psychohistory. At times it can get kind of confusing because he uses some big words, but oterwise its a very good book. i really like the way ideas asimov has because they can all be related to present day. i like how he usedd his ideas of where humanity was headed in the book. when he wrote the book he thought that before very long human society would begin to degenerate, so he worked that idea into the book as the underlying theme of the book.

bury my heart at wounded knee

i am currently reading bury my heart at wounded knee by Dee Brown. This is an excellent book. it is very sad but very interesting. i am very interesred in the native americans because my grandmother was a creek indian and one of my more didtant relatives was a cheyenne indian.i am also very interested in the american west in the mid to late 1800's. i really like how the book is written so that it tells about each different western indian tribe seperately. i never reallY understood how cruel the white man was to the indians. they not only stole their lands, but killed thousands more than they needed to and committed sickening massacres. it made me extremely angry and sad to read about how many times the white man broke treaties and stole land from the indians. it was also angering when the indians had to sign treaties that they thought they understood, but they really didn't because the white men would not tell them exactly what the treaty said and the indians had no way of knowing. many of the indians wanted peace with the white man and to be friends with them and trade with them, but the white men refused to listen aand just wanted to kill all of them. there were very few white men who sttod up for the indians and their rights. the few men who did stand up for them were not powerful or plentiful enough to make a large difference in the situation.
